Ease Floating Written Instructions

INITIAL FILL

  1. The spa will heat, once filled, at about 3 degrees and hour, it make take a day or so for spa to fully heat. While it is heating you can start adding chemicals.
  2. First you will need your @ease floating box (see photo on back)
  3. Remove the SmartChlor Cartridge (in the bag, grey colored) and twist setting to #2 and attach it to the floating Mineral Cartridge (blue)  by screwing the blue on top of the grey.  Place the floater into the spa water.
  4. Pour the packet of @ease Jump Start into the water (packet in the @ease box labeled “jump start”)
  5. Use a Test Strip to measure pH, Alkalinity and Total Hardness levels and adjust as necessary: (all following chemicals will be in your starter box)
  6. Add 10 to 16 ounces (1/3 to 1/2 bottle) of Calcium/Hardness Increaser (for most areas)

Note: Amount varies by location but typically is going to be approx. 1/2 to 1/3 of the bottle – add Calcium Booster until Total Hardness is between 150 – 250 ppm

  1. Add 2 to 3 ounces (capfuls) pH Up/pH Increaser (for most areas)

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

  1. Add 2 ounces (capfuls) of Oxidizing Shock (or Renew/Replenish) and run jets with cover off for 15 minutes
  2. Use Test Strips to check SmartChlor level, Total Alkalinity and pH levels and adjust as necessary

Note: If SmartChlor level is low or zero add Chlorinating Granules and check the SmartChlor cartridge. If the SmartChlor cartridge is empty, replace it with a new one.  If it is not empty, increase the setting

of the SmartChlor cartridge to setting 3 or 4 to increase the chlorine level in the water

Note: If the pH is too low add 2 to 3 ounces (capfuls) of pH Up to raise pH and Alkalinity

MONTHLY MAINTENANCE

  1. Replace @ease SmartChlor Cartridge every 3 to 4 weeks and discard the empty cartridge
  2. Rinse and clean spa filters: Use a spray-on cleaner such as Instant Cartridge Clean or soak the filters in Filter Cleaner solution. Rinse the filters thoroughly and soak again in fresh water to prevent foamy / sudsy water
  3. Clean the spa cover with a mild cleaner and condition and protect using 303 Aerospace Protectant or ArmorAll

OTHER MAINTENANCE

  1. Drain and refill the spa water every 3 to 4 months (quarterly)
  2. Replace @ease Mineral Cartridge every 4 months (replace whenever spa is drained and refilled with fresh water)
  3. Use JET CLEAN/SPA PURGE/SPA500 every 12 months to clean out internal plumbing, jets and heating system
  4. If water is cloudy and/or foamy: Add 1 ounce of Clarifier, add 2 capfuls of Shock/Replenish and clean filters
